A Very Special Year!

As this year comes to an end i would like to thank all my buddy mates n the whole of the world for making it very special.
But how has it been special??
Well, its been very normal this year, & hence it is special.
As soon as i look back at the proceedings of this year, there's nothing that i can recall to remember this year for an event or two.
India didn't win a World Cup, Saina gained some more stature in the badminton, Sania dropped her mini-skirts & changed it to a lehanga, much to the despair of the communities who always needed something to pass their time by commenting on her skirts, INC consolidated their place at the top by staying united an jumping over BJP's internal feuds, the nature's been a silent spectator here & yes, thankfully, the terrorists have been silent, till this day at least.
Internal politics goes on, some one's pain has been some one's gain!
People are dying because of numerous heavy-word diseases, obesity stays among youth, & youth awareness programmes continue to extract money out the central & respective state government's coffins. But who cares, because this is normal!
Girls are being raped by rich business men's sons, police officers, but who cares, because this is normal & most importantly this is my India.
Yet again, even after endless prayers of all the news correspondents all over the country, there was no 'Prince' this time around for the news channels to spend their hours putting up live commentary n passing their various half hour programmes on their 24-hr channels.
Reality shows continue to attract much of the attention as Ekta Kapoor's downfall continues(sure she'll make a comeback with a hit melodrama soon).
Big Boss has been a topic of argument in college debates rather than the politics, of course this is India, we sell what the market demands.
Vindu Dara Singh's "koi tension nahi hai boss", & "no problem" phrases continue to be a big hit among Punjabi's.
A proposal for increase in reservation of seats in various educational institutes for the 'so called minorities n backward classes' continue to be tapped again n again.
Film industry has a developed a new trend of incorporating gay stories behind the mainstream love-story of a different sexes.
Of course, the extra-marital affairs among same sexes now continue to increase. Gay jokes are more common in the country after 'dostana' tuned into every one's minds.
Censor board of our film industry was out of work this year since the directors themselves have got bored of posing half-naked women in their films.
But we have male film stars showing off their metrosexuals bodies, on the screen & off the screen!
Thank God! Anil Kapoor never goes out with an unbuttoned shirt. Sure, the girls would have fainted!
We also have a new friend of ours discovered this year who has got all the attention, "H1N1".
& yet again, the discovery & its consequences have been blown out of proportion through the media attention.
Of course we welcomed him whole heartedly, after all we truly believe in "atithi devo-bahava". We made him feel at home, by inviting him to our dirty surroundings, by using careless measure to keep ourselves ourselves clean & tidy, after all we want our new friend to have a comfortable stay in our country, don't we??
Anyways, the stay still continues,& even if he diminishes out of this country, the media wont let it go so easily. They are the best in this business!
So, all in all, not a very eventful year, & hence it was very special!
Thank you all!
Wish you a very happy & a "special" new year!
